Cassiopeia/ The Terrain: The Cassiopeia is an urban playground for adults and grownup kids in the heart of Friedrichshain. The area has three to four different club locations, an exhibition venue, a huge indoor Skate Park, a beer garden and the highest climbing tower in Berlin. Only two years ago, before the Cassiopeia started, the place was still a dump. The actual size of the usable area today is 4000m². Cassiopeia/ The Club Areas: The Club -The Lounge -The Cube - der Kegel (the cone) The main Club, which is also a concert location, includes the Lounge at 2nd level, both can be operated separately. The capacity of the Club including the Lounge is about 600 People. The Cube has two floors, that both hold about 130 people each. Der Kegel (the cone), is a climbing Tower from the outside and the inside can be used for exhibitions. All Areas can be booked together for big events and festivals or separately. Including the beer garden, the area holds up to 3000 guests. Our last years highlights were Fete de la Musique in June and Blockparty in August which both had about 2500 visitors. Our guests are 18 to 38 years old, with the core age being 20 to 28 years. The percentage of man and women is mostly equal. Since the Cassiopeia doesn..t serve the regular Pop and Mainstream taste, the guests know what they want. A great part of them are creative and active participants of a certain sub cultural scene and so called opinion leader and tastemaker. The concert and events that take place at the Cassiopeia range from HipHop to Funk, Rock to Hardcore, Electro and Reggae to Drum & Bass.
